~ JOHN WESLEY BROWN Served as a Private in the War of 1812 in the company of Captain Jacob Hartsell, under Col. William Lillard's 2nd Regiment, East Tennessee Volunteers. Served from 10-12-1813 to 2-8-1814, WD&TSA. Is buried in the John Brown Family Cemetery (another states Mitchell Cemetery), Washington County, TN. There is said to be a private marker.
